The liquid medium which transmits braking pressure in the hydraulic braking system of brake fluid vehicle is used in the vehicle with hydraulic braking system. The performance requirements of brake fluid are: good viscous temperature, low solidification point, good low temperature fluidity; high boiling point, high temperature gas resistance; quality changes during use, and causes corrosion and deterioration of metal and rubber parts.
(1) There should be a higher boiling point. In modern automobiles, braking frequently occurs, and the temperature of brake drum (disc) keeps rising. If the brake fluid with lower boiling point is used, air resistance often occurs in the pipeline, which leads to braking failure. Therefore, the evaporation of brake fluid is low and it is easy to vaporize at high temperature.
(2) Suitable high temperature viscosity and good low temperature fluidity. Brake fluid can transfer pressure under various conditions, and make the moving parts in the transmission mechanism get certain lubrication.
(3) It has the properties of anti-oxidation, anti-corrosion and anti-rust. Long-term contact between brake fluid and metal should result in colloidal and corrosive substances, or discoloration due to rust, or even pitting.
(4) Low hygroscopicity, good water solubility and less boiling point drop. Even if water enters the brake fluid, it can form particles and mix with the brake fluid evenly, resulting in separation and precipitation.
(5) Good adaptability to rubber. Brake fluid should swell rubber parts, otherwise it will lose its proper sealing effect, so brake fluid has good adaptability to rubber parts.
In spring and summer, it is based on the water solubility of brake fluid, reminding everyone to pay attention to check the brake fluid situation in daily vehicles, to avoid excessive moisture integration, affecting the braking effect of vehicles.
制动液汽车液压制动系统中传递制动压力的液态介质,使用在采用液压制动系统的车辆中。对制动液的性能求:粘温性好,凝固点低,低温流动性好;沸点高,高温产生气阻;使用过程中品质变化,并引起金属件和橡胶件的腐蚀和变质。
(1)应有较高的沸点。现代汽车在行驶中的制动频繁,制动鼓(盘)的温度断升高,如使用沸点较低的制动液,常会在管路中产生气阻而导致制动失灵,因此制动液的蒸发性低,易在高温汽化。
(2)适宜的高温粘度和良好的低温流动性。制动液在各种条件都能及传递压力,并同使传动机构中的运动件得到一定的润滑。
(3)具有抗氧化、抗腐蚀和防锈的性能。制动液长期与金属相接触应会因氧化而产生胶状物和腐蚀性物质,或因锈蚀而变色,甚至形成坑点。
(4)吸湿性低、溶水性好、沸点降少。即使有水分进入制动液,求能形成微粒而和制动液均匀混合,产生分离和沉淀现象。
(5)对橡胶的适应性好。制动液对橡胶件应有溶胀作用,否则会使其失去应有的密封作用,因此制动液对橡胶件有良好的适应性。
在春夏之际,正基于制动液的溶水性,提醒大家在日常用车中注意检查制动液的情况,避免水分的过多融入,影响车辆的制动效果。
